Diamond Colour

A rough diamond actually manifests itself as a pale yellow. Diamonds are colour graded – and accordingly valued – by how closely they approach colourless or 'white'. The less colour there is in a diamond, the higher its colour grade and value. In other words, colour grades are all about what you can't see.

At Eight & Diamond, our finest diamonds have been pre-selected on colour grades that lie between D – J. Diamonds graded J and above are colourless or near-colourless, with colour that is typically undetectable to the unaided eye.
